A Message from the Founder
Over the course of my 35-year career, I’ve worked in a wide range of facilities—each with its own systems, pace, and people. I spent 26 years with a major automotive manufacturer, where I led and supported maintenance, training, and technical coordination across various departments.
What I saw, time and again, was the cost of reactive, incomplete training. Too often, new technicians were thrown into complex roles with no clear plan—repeating old mistakes because no one taught them otherwise.
Most on-the-job training (OJT) relies heavily on the mentor’s approach, but it often lacks structure or measurable outcomes. And when there’s no clear learning objective, the student is left with confusion—not confidence.
That’s why I created VF Engineering Consulting LLC. We use a proven, systematic method for training that helps technicians understand the “why” behind every task, not just the steps. If someone isn’t a fit, the data will show that. But if someone has potential, the right guidance can turn them into a top performer.
